Switching is near-instant — the change from private to clear happens in a fraction of a second, the moment power is applied or removed.
Yes. Self-adhesive smart film retrofits onto most existing interior glass — partitions, doors and windows — without removing or replacing the panes.
The film simply returns to its natural frosted state, so your space stays private by default whenever power is off.
A wall switch is the simplest option. Remote controls, timers and integration with building-automation or smart-home systems are also possible.
No — in the private state the glass turns translucent white, like frost. Light still passes through; sight lines don't.
